New Haven provides supported accommodation for adults who need more than simply somewhere to live. People may require supported accommodation for many different reasons. Our role is to understand the person’s circumstances, accommodation needs and support needs before deciding whether a New Haven placement is suitable. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
New Haven primarily provides supported accommodation for adults aged 18 and over.
Where suitable family accommodation is available, we may also consider an adult applicant who will be accommodated with their dependent child or children.
A referral does not automatically result in an offer of accommodation.
We consider the person’s housing needs, support needs, risks, existing services, current circumstances and the suitability of the available accommodation before making a placement decision.
Our aim is to make placements that are appropriate for the individual and sustainable over the longer term.
